I did this last night in the .50-$1 PL game. My reason was I was on a steal with 88AJ4, the big blind called and drew 1. If I draw 3 he may fire a bluff into me. If sometimes I draw 2 and he fires a bet I know it's a strong bet and if he checks, I know he was either drawing or had two pair or is inducing a bet or check raising a strong made hand.
