Default Help needed please - 5/10 QQ OOP vs. good player

This spot is fairly common but I've really been struggling with these lately by getting myself trapped by leading turn, so have decided to try the line taken below:
(sorry for HH format - tried a couple converters with no luck)

- CO $1002.29
- Button $2652.50
- SB $1344.68
- Hero $1462.00
- UTG $1015.00

** Dealing card to Hero: Qd, Qc
UTG raises to $35, 3 folds, Hero raises to - $144
UTG calls $109

Flop: 4h - 6c - 2d (Pot - $223)

Hero bets $131
UTG calls $131

Turn: Th (Pot: $485)

Hero checks
UTG checks

River: 9c (Pot: $485)

Hero bets $241
UTG raises all-in $775.00
Hero folded

----------------------

UTG is a solid, aggressive player.

Do the experts here agree that the line taken with checking the turn is superior to leading?

Any other comments on my weak-tight play in this hand?

What % of the time do you see yourself leading the turn as opposed to checking? Or is it totally player dependent? Is there a clear-cut standard line in these spots?

thx in advance for any help/comments
