I wouldn't call not going for it on 4-3 on the opponents ~43 down by 3 mid 4th quarter cocky.

Well when your D has shown an inconsistancy in stoping the run, but their QB has made a host of mistakes. He chose to take his chances (the Colts punter is pretty good).
In any case I was refering to the simple run on 3 and 1 as cocky, not the 4th down play.
