With the recent clamoring for Pokerstars improvements I thought this was a good place to start. I know Stars isn't necessarily gung-ho about Turbo tournaments, but they've had turbo satellites for quite some time and have recently added turbo HU matches and a turbo $5.50 MTT.

So the question is why haven't we seen bigger buyin turbo MTTs? The $5.50 one is uber-popular and I don't see why bigger buyin ones wouldn't be just as popular or even more so than the current non-turbo ones.

From a business standpoint, Pokerstars would stand to make more money from these, because they obviously don't last as long and because a lot of people are discouraged from playing 6 hour tournaments on a weekday night because of work/school/family.

Pokerstars has given by far the most creative and innovative opportunities to its players, so why not add turbo MTTs?
