Actually, if you follow the link to that blog, it talks about Reshevsky's 1953 blunder and is a mate in two. In 1973 it says he missed a mate in 3.

The guy is only saying that no world champion has ever missed a mate in one, and that appears to be true.

In the abscence of time trouble it seems this type of blunder almost never happens to a top GM.
