1984 Rubik's Cube champ of Methuen (MA) High, 2:32.
Not that noteworthy, as many of the "contestants" had no idea how to solve a Rubik's Cube--they had only signed up for the contest to get out of going to a class.
Humorous note: One kid had "greased" the inner workings of his cube with Vaseline, for faster sliding. He spent a lot of time boasting about this beforehand. During the contest, the cube fell apart in his hands. The look on his face was priceless.
EDIT TO ADD: Won a karaoke contest once. Was robbed another time. Karaoke singers are nerdy.

Me too, and I have about 4000+ more posts than you do, which I suppose count for nothing.
