I haven't read the rest of the thread - but do you see how this logic is flawed? Yes, most people imprisoned for GTA are black, and most people pulled over are black as well. We don't know causation and correlation.

And in any event, racial profiling, while it is possibly effective, is still an infrigement on basic civil liberties. It isn't enough to say that it will have a small +EV impact on catching criminals, even if we had proof that that were the case.
