When I was growing up, one of the moms of a kid in my neighborhood claimed it was a Soviet plot. She claimed some secret ingredient in baloney caused big boobs. Since all the kids were eating baloney sandwiches, the girls boobs were getting bigger and distracting the boys so the Russians could take over the world. Yes, she was serious.
