The question is not if you will eventually do something else or not. Many think they will, but I am pretty sure that it won't be the case. When you have played poker for 10 years, are 30/35 y.o. and have no higher education, finding something else "fulfilling" and especially "rewarding" won't be that easy.
Anyway, the subject here is how will it affect your present life and what would your options be?
