The problem with just calling from the BB with a mid to high pocket pair, specifically like nines or tens here, is that you have trouble playing against his range becuase you have NO idea where he's at. Per raise preflop and small turn bet and villian's preflop numbers there is no doubt he could have turned the nut straight, any two pair, have a slowplayed set, or a big overpair. I think to the double check raise he only folds <JJ. Also, I think he checks behind a lot of hands that he'd fold to a CR on the turn (i.e. I think he's checking like QQ behind a fair % of the time, and that is a target hand we want to fold). Given what I just said I'm uncomfortable doing this, and I'd much much rather do it with 34, or something like that.
