I still don't get it, wouldn't VILLAN want to induce a bluff if that is the case, instead of getting raised or having hero just fold. I'm interested in hearing more about this line since it is not one that I often consider. Check/call flop, check/call turn, bet/fold river? If you take this line do also do this as a bluff as well, and if so is that why OP would consider raising villan on river will work?
