Nice post and very good points.
One thing I'll point out is that we shouldn't let ourselves over-think situations. Sometimes we can talk ourselves in to a bad call because we see more and more "possibilities."
Other times we talk ourselves in to folding because we're seeing monsters under the bed or we auger in to 4th & 5th level thinking where it isn't warranted.
So yes, we should take a moment to think about the big decisions. But don't overthink them.
