Default Re: Interesting PLO8 hand? Maybe?

[ QUOTE ]
You want to bet the max for a number of reasons--to pressure highs like sets or two pair to fold (or to put in big money when you're freerolling), and to get money out of competing low hands that could be c-feited on the riv giving you the whole pot before they can safely fold, and to generally create the impression of an action player. There is no risk, because you are never folding in this hand no matter what river comes (what--are you going to check behind and then fold if the river doesn't give you a high and the other guy bets into you? please.), which means that you might as well be the one leading.

edit--in fact, given that you and the villain are both fully stacked here, you made a pretty bad mistake not raising the flop for the maximum amount. Same stuff applies there. You can't fold on the hand, so capitalize on whatever fold equity you have against hands you'd prefer to fold out, while simultaneously trapping chips into the pot from hands you are ahead of, or that you want to stick around when they get c-feited. I mean, this is ABC plo8.
