O Brother, Where Art Thou - An excellent, excellent collection of works from the country/bluegrass genre (also some plantation spirituals too). Ignoring the everso annoying "In the Highways" by Sarah, Hannah & Leah Peasall, this album is superb. Utterly superb. And meshes with the film fantastically.

Completely agreed! I saw this movie and had to go out and get the soundtrack ASAP. I even agree that the entire thing is awesome (with the exception of In the highways).

I thought this was an amazing adaptation of the Odyssey and the music really did make the film as good as it was.

My wife is a sound track junkie and my daughter loves in the highways.

Anyway, some others I haven't seen mentioned: Forrest Gump, Resevior Dogs and another of my wifes fav's Immortal Beloved.
