Funny that playing this hand differently at many different points would've alternately led me to win a small pot, chop with the shorty, or lose my whole stack (if me and the BB played fast on the flop). Then, I also could've easily lost practically nothing, instead of 400.

Party has continuous shuffle, so the next cards would have been different if you'd taken a different line, and hence you probably wouldn't have lost a big pot too often against QT.
