You have to be really careful with this. I've gotten in the habbit of not saying things because for some reason 1 in 20 players/dealers can't tell the difference between my "check" and my "bet". While it doesn't happen often I ended up with one dealer that made me check instead of putting my bet out twice because she misheard me. The one time another player even backed up what I said, but she ignored him. (Of course she actually saved me $6, but meh)
