Re: LO8 Tournaments
The Stars Micro LO8 tournaments are a good proving ground for those wanting to test the waters with little financial commitment, but not for the impatient. Expect 5-6 hours to the final table finish. At the $5-$20 level, the numbers (time taken and payout) get much better.
The $5+1 LO8 at Party is good, but hard to beat between the structure, top heavey final table payout and crazy early play. $10+1 at UB is good, play is generally better than most on average.
My experience with PLO8 is limited, but I've done well at $10 level on Absolute and similar levels at Paradise (most of the private PL08 tournaments have a link that you can pick up the password).
