Default Re: At what M is an add-on not a good value in a rebuy?

There's no hard and fast rule with a specific M, it has much more to do with payout structure and stack sizes of everyone in the tournament and stuff. As a general rule of thumb, always add-on .

ditto. I always add-on, whether i have 10k or 50k, doesnt matter.

Let's say typical stars tourney, you got 50k and are top 5 in chips at the add-on period. Avg stacks of say 9k or so, and you're adding on 2k in chips. Seems like a waste of $$$ to me. I assume you were exaggerating a bit; but, there should be a chip level where you are top 10 in chips or whatever, where adding on is pretty pointless.
