Nope, this is not dumb, but to our colleagues, this is "obvious."

What you're noting is that SNGPT's response is based upon your estimate of villain's calling range. Your realization is that the villain, having put you on a wider push range, will change his range accordingly.

One fun thing to do is to see things from the villain's perspective in SNGPT, put the wide push range in, and find out what you should call with.

With this experiment, you'll find that your original estimate for villain's call range may be too tight.

The full punch line is that the push ranges are very dynamic. If a villain thinks you're tight, you can push more, and vice versa. So you constantly have to be playing the "what does he think right now" game (and pray that he doesn't have a monster [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img].
