I'm not so sure about that. First, the employee would surely tone down his side of the story to "he was parked in the fire lane so I tried to move his car, and then he came out and flipped." Second, I suspect a store can be fined for letting customers park in the fire lane.
I think the employee would receive a "next time, come in and tell me and I'll do something about moving the car."
