I will also chime in on this. Maybe it is just a recreational players locals thing (like the familiarity that locals enjoy at stations casinos), but one of the major reasons I enjoy the room is the friendly/familiar staff that makes it a point to recoginize you by name.

Like Howard said, why would I want to deal with the dry attitude of the B when the Venetian makes every effort to make me feel at home.

Sorry flubsy, but I am going to have to go with the others that said that player recognition and familiarity is welcomed and should not be discouraged.
