I have a question.
Why does the vaneesh cardroom force NLHE 2/5 players to go south with a table change?
Example- Im playing 2/5 NLHE at the lovely venetian cardroom and am currently double stacked ($1000) from my expert play ;-). Now I decide to move tables, and they move me, informing me I have to take $500 off the table and step my stack back to the max-buy in.
You realize that this erases the rule of table stakes, right? Basically, if a player wishes to "go south" in a game, all they have to do is request a table change.
