That's your first mistake. Putting too much money in preflop is the sign of an amateur... true champions wait until the flop where their equity is much higher. In fact, equity is always 0 or 100% on the river, so it's genereally correct to slowplay and then make your decision once the last card is dealt (almost invariably all in).
