Default Re: Proposed proposition bet with Gigabet

[ QUOTE ]
Saying that someone who regulary plays and beats the 55s and 109s is going to benifit from seeing someones profitable 215 HHs is not very logical. Beating the 215s is not light switch EV. Meaning you're not going to see something in those histories that flicks a switch on inside your head and go, "ohhhhh no wonder I can't beat them!!"

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with this for the most part. I don't think somebody is going to go from being a break even 55 player to a 215 winner just from seeing how Gigabet plays. And I bet some of the best 22 players are better than Gigabet at that level right now, considering he hasn't played those forever. But I do think it's possible I can gain a few insights. It's the same thing as this forum- no one hand is going to make you that much of a better/worse player, and at the end of the day we aren't going to wake up with Gigabet's talent. But if it can lead to a couple more pieces of the puzzle just like a lot of the discussions here do, it's worth seeing and having. And even if it doesn't help, it'll still be fun to watch how he played. Hey, the WPT is fun to watch even if I'm never going to be Daniel Negreanu.
