Default Re: Sigh..

when was the last time you called a min-raise on the river without the nuts and won the hand?

I think I can count on the fingers of one hand how often I call river minraises and win hands - I fold here and don't think twice about it - screw the pot odds.

Why no preflop raise?

Why are you giving button almost perfect odds to draw on the turn?

Whats the purpose of the river lead?

if it's a block then it served it's purpose - easy fold - but you should block for ~$8 here at least...

if you think you're ahead and it was a value bet (albeit a mighty thin one) - easy call - but c/c is much better.

if you don't have a clue whether you're ahead or behind at this point then give up and play tiddlywinks instead.

If tiddlywinks doesn't appeal try and learn to read the opponent better - that river bet looks like a perfect example of one of Harringtons "Dark Tunnel" bets - Betting for the sake of betting in such small amounts that it doesn't accomplish anything of note other than spew money...
