Default Re: Registering for WSOP events

I haven't done it yet this year, but did this last year for the first event.

Considering the registration line for that event was about 3 hours long in the middle of the night the night before the event started, it turned out to be a good idea. That said, most of the events other than the first one didn't have very long waits to register; so if you're not registering for the first event, it's probably overkill to wire your money (24 in advance should be plenty to register).

Now, back to your question. It's as simple as filling out the form, initiating the wire-transfer, and then waiting for your confirmation (generally 3-5 days later).

When you get to the Rio, there's two things you have to do. First, you need to register as a WSOP participant, including signing a release to be on TV, etc. Then, if you've wired money, you go to a line for pre-registrations and you just show them ID and you're set to go.
