Everyone knows in Hockey, the best team often loses to a hot goaltender. Ottawa was likely the best team in the league this year, but Hasek goes out, and they're screwed.
The Colts were likely the best team in the NFL. The Steelers presented major matchup problems, but (while it doesn't matter), they were not definitively the best team in the NFL last year, that much is clear.
And baseball is a game with so much variance, and aces matter so much more in the postseason.
That said, I think the Spurs or the Mavs are the best team in the league this year.
