My last girlfriend was the worst cook ever. Whatever she made me was always awful but I ate it with a big smile on my face and complimented her and was thankful.
I adored her though so I overlooked it and made sure we ate out as much as possible. I dont think she had a skillet either. At least I never saw one. Im pretty sure she would know what one was though.
I would focus on her willingness to try. I think that's sweet. She obviously has no interest whatsoever in cooking yet she wants to do it for you. I would have good size snack before you go over there so you are not too hungry. It may not be edible.
