I would definitely just call. Your equity won't be reduced too much by additional callers (even those who split your nld), and you save yourself the opportunity to fold on the many bad rivers like board pair or Q's/K's. You can decide whether to look the guy up with a ragged low based on context and other clues--if you're worried about folding incorrectly on the riv then just commit to calling on any made low (assuming HU), problem solved.
