I think the 1/2 was a max $200 buy in, while 3/5 was $500. Not totally sure, but that is the impression that I got. They announced a "1 200 NL game" starting and I almost had a heart attack- I thought they meant $100/$200 blinds. I finally figured out that they meant $1-200.

What they quote them as refers to the buyin. So 1/2 is 100-200 buyin game and 3/5 is a 300-500 buyin game. The blinds in the 1/2 game are 3/5. In the 300/500 game (3/5) the blinds are 5/10.
