On this hand it worked out okay...the rocky UTG+2 bet out and was called before it got to me. I figured to lead he had to have a king and the caller very possibly has a K, though we can't discount 2nd pair -- even with people to act.
At the time, my impulse was to bet if it was checked back to me a second time, because then I would have to believe I'm good. Of course, that seems like a terrible strategy because I'm left to pray for an undercard on the turn too.
I felt dirty about not betting on the flop. Normally in LP I'll bet a pocket pair above middle pair if it's be checked to me. But I didn't feel like losing $9 to a turn check-raise or $15 to some dude who'll just call down with KQ, KJ.
