Re: Can very loose .25/.50 SH be beat?

I am a winner at SH limit at 1/2, 2/4 and 3/6 over about 150k hands I logged on this site. It might be variance, indeed. However, I'm just not sure about it. I'm not used to value bet OOP with...

Can very loose .25/.50 SH be beat?

I'm a consistent winning, solid live NL player but I don't like NL too much - just don't have much choice, limit isn't played where I live. I like limit instead so my only reasonable choice is to...

Re: B&M NL Texas Hold\'em in Western Europe

The Aviation club in Paris often has higher stakes limit tables, however they usually play 2-7 triple draw and maybe some other games (I only saw 2-7 being played at what seemed 20/40 euro and...

Re: high stakes absolute players

I'm by no means a high stakes poker player, however I know my way around computers and actually worked for a few years as a computer security expert.

I have no idea of the security of the sites...

Re: 25NL - AQo facing all in

Villain could have AK (and be afraid of the flush draw), or have a flush draw himself with maybe a pair of eights (something like 9d8d) or two pair or a set. It's definitely not an instacall for me....

Ptrack pat: if you aren't familiar with internet security, feel free to drop me a PM, I will give you some tips. I used to work as a security consultant.

Re: 50 NL Facing river shove with middle set

Thanks for the comments, the turn bet was indeed too weak.

I called his river shove because there was too much money in the pot and I had a very legitimate hand. If he had 88 or T9 (or even 65)...

Re: Steal gone bad - tough turn decision

Thanks for the comments.. I'm not sure why I called, probably because of his too-quick turn raise that made it look like a bluff. He had A9 with no other draws and my AT help up through the river.

Re: Steal gone bad - tough turn decision

I'm not putting him on anything really. I'm just trying to bet him out of the pot, HOPING he got a weaker ace that didn't make two pair or a flush draw.

Why would he make such a raise on the...

Re: Steal gone bad - tough turn decision

He's tight after 27 hands - so this isn't a good read really.

Re: Steal gone bad - tough turn decision

Also, my good hands get paid less, but get called more often, because a short stack gets less credit for a good hand on average.

Re: Steal gone bad - tough turn decision

Yes, I'm underrolled for the level and trying to build an actual roll, so I had to adapt my play. My good hands earn less but I get less variance overall. Works for me so far after 11k hands - I...

100NL Steal gone bad - tough turn decision

NL $1/$1 full ring game, I've been stealing aggressively a lot as a shortstack and generally being a LAG with some success. Villain is 17/4/infinity after 27 hands.

Hero is at the button with...

Re: Tough flush flop decision

Thanks for the comments... I called, he had pocket 8's with one /images/graemlins/spade.gif and I ended up winning the race.

Re: Tough flush flop decision

32 VPIP isn't exactly tight for a FR table, now is it? The villain probably has a spade which alone would make him only a slight underdog.

I'm only a real favorite against a TT-KK, 88, 66, 55,...
