Re: [NL 50] Pocket Aces - Time to slow down ?

[ QUOTE ]
You played this perfectly, BB is just an idiot. Reload and wait for next time.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why is BB an idiot? If he's set mining with JJ- didn't he play it perfectly. This post is...

Re: cbetting on monotone boards

If I have one of those suits (and it's a decent strength), I might fire a cbet at 2+ players- especially if I have position and checked to me. I'm not going wild 2nd barreling on the turn though.

Re: AK vs donk bet

Any stats?

From my experience, pot sized donk bets are not air. He probably has at least an over pair here or maybe TPTK. He could be on a heart draw or just a maniac.

I'd probably give him...

Re: Checking behind on the river...

If board didn't pair and you think this hand comes down to kickers- I would probably check behind on river. You're obviously not folding him off his ace and is possible he holds a better kicker

Re: KK 3 bet pot, 4 way action, drawy heavy board

ok- now that you posted more action while I was writing my above sermon- you have to believe some of your outs are taken and I doubt if 9 comes, your K high straight is good. You probably are chasing...

Re: KK 3 bet pot, 4 way action, drawy heavy board

I check/call small bets- I don't think you're ahead of the avg player calling a 3bet pre flop.

As far as the dude who said he'd push- you likely don't have 8 outs. Chances are that if 4 people...

Re: Did I play this draw right? (.02/.05 Stars)

Flat call flop or raise to $0.75

Bet 2/3 to full pot on flop. Push to any reraise.

Re: 50NL AA v. 4

[ QUOTE ]
Is it worth continuing if we think BB has some jackass J and MP has KK/QQ much of the time? The bloated pot might commit those big pairs? Wishful thinking?

Re: 50NL AA v. 4

I'd call.

You're getting 6.5:1 to call

You're betting QQ,KK, maybe even counterfeited 2 pair, and someone excited about a flush draw that they just got.

You also have MP left to act so if...

Re: A2 2 pairs in HU NL 50 6 max

Seems pretty standard to me. You're only behind A9,A6 and sets.

Re: hand missing from PT

My HHs are automatically downloaded from Stars into PT. I've found that I don't get the HH for a particular hand when I close a table (typically when I'm pissed from being stacked) before the start...

Re: The Donk trap is set.... NO NOT THAT!!!

From my experience seeing this- it's not usually a monster (but against this dude, he could have 92), but more like A9 or K9 trying to force out the flush draw.

I think I snap call here hoping I...

Re: 50nl-bottom set on draw heavy flop

Why are you playing 88? If you're set mining- you got to push IMO. But this could suck if he has Q9.

FWIW- if co and btn limp, and sb completes, I'm raising this pf to 5.5bb. That way hands like...

Re: Button versus blind, and i get donked into hard on the turn

Fold - you're toast to over pairs, sets, A9, etc. If you had more than 5 outs, it might be worth staying.

The pfr and cbet is fine but after his flop call and big bet here- you're playing for...

Re: SHOULD AKo FOLD THIS HAND?????

I think w/ two dudes in the pot with you, you're probably beat.

IMO- raise the flop (to $6.50 or higher). By calling- you give BTN very good odds to stay in pot. If either have the 10- they are...

Re: 25NL - AA turns set. Did I leave money on the table?

I'd bet $6 on turn- that way if he raises, you can push AI.

As played- I think I smooth call his turn bet and vbet river. I'm not scared of draws, but cr screams too much strength and folds out...

AA- 4bet flop or smooth call

Villain is 29.6/14.8/4/27. He's very aggressive on flop when he hits. I was running somewhere around 18/14/4 and cbetting most flops.

CO ($23.90)
Button ($23.50)
SB ($21.35)
BB ($29.60)
Hero...

A lot depends on player- there is actually a donk post that started today in this forum and has a lot of good advice.

Re: Flopped a full house...not excited

Agree w hebel- most people arent' slowplaying AA,AK on turn. I think he value bets JJ or QQ on river. I think I bet $6 on turn- either he as something or he doesn't and most river cards wont help...

Re: 30NL - 6 max - Flush extracting value

I was stacked twice this weekend w/ King high flushes. One I flopped (never thought the A high flush would be flopped at same time) and other was a 4 flush cards on board.

So yeah- raise it up...

Re: Donk bet into. What would/could you do in this spot.? 25nl

Knowing that 95% of weak donk bets will fold to a raise- has anyone tried just calling this and hoping they bet on the turn? It's risky since they could catch up
