Re: adjusted percentages of coinflip situation
[ QUOTE ]
its 4 outs out of 48 not 4 out of 19.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think I made a mistake, but it's definitely not 4 out of 48, unless you have seen two exposed and mucked/burned outs but have not...

Re: adjusted percentages of coinflip situation
I think there's something wrong in the calculations, even if we accept the assumption that you can replace actual outs by the expected number of outs (6-2.28, rounding up to 4 ).
The probability...

Re: to call or not to call
Situation B is not a definite fold depending on the situation. You do have implied odds and position working for you. It really depends on whether you think you are getting in the middle of a...

Re: ROI% for HU
I agree Pondus completely missed the point of my question and the hand being discussed, but I still don't think Murd0c can criticize much when all he did was to claim that he's correct, but the...

Re: EV of starting hands, perfect information
I'm surprised when you say that AA vs 72o has significantly lower EV than AA vs KK. Maybe I remember it wrong, but Harrington's book mentioned has a chapter about preflop % and I vaguely remember...

Re: ROI% for HU
Using the ICM calculator, if SB pushes and BB folds, his EV jumps from 0.3 to 0.3105. If SB pushes and BB calls, his EV either jumps from 0.3 to 0.3969 or goes down to 0. If SB folds, his EV falls...

Re: New Fight Question
There are many different kinds of Asian martial arts, a lot them originally developed to kill, so I'd say that a true master of an Asian martial arts is the favorite.

Re: ROI% for HU
You said the CO is not a blind, and he folded, is that correct?
If so, why should SB play AK at all, knowing that next hand the shortstack will be in the BB and probably bust out of the SNG? ...

Re: ROI% for HU
Even if I am not a winning SNG, could you please explain to me why the all-in by the SB is wise, given that the cutoff has a SB left in stack and is not in the hand? Or is your example saying that...

Re: ROI% for HU
I don't think it's a good example because I think both SB and BB made bad plays and both suffered as a result. Good players in that hand would not go all-in whether on the SB or BB.

Re: Poker question from alphatmw
By chess is a game with complete information and hold'em is a game with incomplete information. Imagine a game of chess where you don't know where the opponent pieces are.

Re: 25/50, HU, deep, 3 barrels
I am not sure I liked the all-in that much. If I were to bluff him, I'd be tempted to bet smaller to represent a 6. Your large bet at the end really matches what some players often do with a busted...

Re: Something I don\'t understand about pot odds
Remember Sklansky wrote something like a poker hand starts as a battle of the antes (and/or blinds). In a HU situation with no blinds, no board and one betting round, then the odds is fixed at 1:1...

I don't know, but I can't really select the table I play in a brick-and-mortar casino. It's usually a pretty long wait for any limit and I just make sure I play better than most players at that...

Re: When should I pee?
While I generally agree with you, I think you confused big bets and big blinds. I think you always meant big blinds in your post, not big bets. It really depends on how many hands you miss by...
