Re: NL25 big hand becomes big trash, line check requested

Talk about good hands gone bad. With his stats I don’t think he’s getting crazy and bluffing you there. Odd are you’re up against a boat or flush, and you’re making the right move folding Broadway...

Re: This is why I hate AK....

4-betting pre-flop depends of course on your read of the villain and your image, so it's tough to say whether that was right or wrong. Nonetheless, once that flop comes its time for el foldo grande....

Re: NL25 TT overpair vs. good player, fire turn again?

Certainly no issue making a the c-bet on the flop, however I would like to see a bigger bet since you are going to have trouble getting rid of any draws with that full stack of yours and the implied...

Re: I almost always fold to 3-bets...when can I call?

NFuego said what I was going to say so I won't add much.

To his point, you need to look at your image and villains:

- If the 3-bettor is 12/5/2, it makes sense to give him a wide berth unless...

Re: 25NL: Flop B\'way on Flush Board - Board Pairs on River - 320BB Po

Glad to see this sparked some debate. Agreed, smooth calling his flop bet was dumb (I was trying for a little deception but...yeah...). Turn bet too small...got it. Here's the thing though when the...

25NL: Flop B\'way on Flush Board - Board Pairs on River - 320BB Pot

Thoughts on how to play this one? No solid reads on villain although he seemed reasonably straightforward. I had been fairly aggressive so far pre-flop (not out of line but more active than most) but...

Re: NL25 I 3bet QQ prefl, cold-call behind me

Definitely a tight spot you’ve gotten yourself into there without any solid reads on the players. Once the button has moved all in and MP1 folds, the pot is about $46 and its $10.90 more to you to...

Re: 25NL: Str8 Flush Draw...Right Play?

Thank you for the good feedback. In case you're curious, he showed up with T,J for the flopped straight and my draw never got there. Hi variance indeed /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks again.

25NL: Str8 Flush Draw...Right Play?

Just sat down at the table and had no reads. Suited Q,T limp from MP is questionable, but with one limper already in figured I might be able to see a cheap flop. Anyway, once the flop came, do you...

Re: *** New improved FTP regulars thread - all limits***

678 hands 25NL against CHepCHapCHep on FTP. He ran 16/6/3 and was up about 1 buy in.

Re: Typical Swings at 50NL?

If you are playing well and not tilting, changing games, etc, it would not be unusual to have downswings of 6-8 buy-ins. The problem for me (and many others from what I can discern) is that rarely do...

Re: *** New improved FTP regulars thread - all limits***

I played 777 hands vs. joepoker77 at 25NL between in Sep and Oct of this year. He ran 12/9/5 and was up about 3 buy-ins over that time. Not sure where he is now.

Don't have any info on the others...

Re: did i play this poorly?

I agree with most of the sentiments here. The only thing you really fear is 9,T (4,5 too, I guess). Even in that scenario, you still have lots of outs to the end when he/she invariably shoves. The...

Re: \"opening up\" at uNL = drop in bb/100?

Interesting post and you make points that myself and other micro players certainly need to consider. For what its worth, my sense is that you should play the style that wins at that particular level...
