Re: Real Estate Q: reasonable discount for all-cash (vs. mortgage) offer??

A main component missing from any analysis is the fact that this is a co-op. Any sale wthin a co-op needs board approval. Most co-op boards require at least 20% down because if a buyer were to...

Ivy League College Basketball

This may be a better question for when the season actually start, but I love to bet on Ivy League College Basketball and this year I would like to bet on as many games as possible. My book last year...

statistically significant?

I should remember this from college statistics, but can’t for the life of me…any help is greatly appreciated: Over the past 5/6 years, my office football pool has produced one very odd result: one...

Re: National Championship

I really think 12-1 are terrible odds for that bet. I think they are closer to 12-1 to make the BCS championship game (and they will be HUGE dog against whomever they face…say 3 to 1)…so unless you...

Re: National Championship

Sunofabeach, I complete agree.

Please feel to adjust moneyline accordingly (I put little thought into them, I just wanted a proxy and to be generous).

MSU (-900) ~ 90.00% - - 17 pt spread;...

Re: National Championship

I happen to agree with the article…or at the very least its consistency. If the big ten is as weak as he contends (which I happen to agree with to some extent) than OSU is looking at a fairly weak...

Re: 5/10 NL Live; Tough turn call?

xtwalker - thanks for the advice....in this situation, my raise was more a factor of the limpers than my cards. Knowing the limpers, I really felt that if one of the blinds called, I was going to...

Re: 5/10 NL Live; Tough turn call?

I did quickly fold, but thought I may have acted in haste. Like I mention in the original post, I am worried my play at the higher bet tables may be too tight (I may be thinking too much about this...

5/10 NL Live; Tough turn call?

Only moved up to 5/10NL a month or so ago (1/2NL; 2/5NL had been my regular games). I worry that I play too tight at the higher bet tables….what's my proper play here?

No real big hands between...

Re: is my statement factual?

I don’t think it really mattered if Villain was likely to be playing A/5 or any 5; What is important is the distinct possibility that any of the four other players in the hand could have held a 5. ...

is my statement factual?

Very interested in everyone’s take on not just the hand, but of my statement at the end:

Background: 1/2 NL at Trop in AC. Everyone involved in the hand is well stacked (having >$300 max buy-in). ...

Fantastic call or stupid call?

Full background: 1/2NL at Trop in AC. Half way through my pretty long session (9PM-5AM), villain sits down in the Two seat with about $200 (villain is a well built Asian man, about 25, with dark...

Re: 1/2 NL should i have done something different?

Re: 1/2 NL should i have done something different?
