Re: What\'s your scene like?

Nutcracker - nice "garage", what is the vending machine in the corner (or is it a video game)

Feroc - very nice. I should set up my table in our formal dining room...at least the room would get...

Re: What\'s your scene like?

Taso - Nice. I _will_ have a dedicated room for poker someday (current house not big enough).

hime - Good point. I guess I'm in to delayed gratification.

OK, hopefully I figured out how to post...

What\'s your scene like?

I'm just curious about what other people's home game setup is like. Living room? Dining room? Game room? Basement? Other?

Personally, my game is setup either outside on the deck, or in the garage...

Re: How much for this table?

I like the lights too. Seems like a simple design (no race track), so I'd expect the material costs to be < $200 (assuming folding legs). If it is in good condition and sturdy, I could see someone...

Re: poker rooms in London?

Going to London in October, staying with a buddy in the Chelsea area. Looks like The Vic and Empire are fairly close (google maps), so I plan on checking them out.

My question is....since I will...

Re: Poker Cards

I have Copags. The blue deck started bleeding blue ink on to the white faces of the cards. I contacted Copag, then sent them 3 defective cards with the guarantee card. They shipped me a brand new 2...

Re: River exposed early...

OK, now I'm really curious as to the correct answer. This should be simple math right?

I think Larry had it right. If I replay the hand...as far as I knew after the turn there were a possible 4...

Re: River exposed early...

a) 25%
b) 33%
Great example. Obviously we always include the burn card in the "unseen" denominator pointed out by a). Makes sense now.

Thanks to all.

Re: Food at home games

I host a monthly 1/2NLHE game. If it's Friday night, I only provide chips/nuts....we order pizza if people need a full dinner. People always BYOB, I set up coolers with ice. But, I always have plenty...

1) No, you keep the burn out, shuffle the early river card back into the deck, cut and deal the top card. The early river card needs a chance to come up again. Statistically, since that...

River exposed early...

Hello All, this is a 1/2NL home game. Heads up at the river, I check my gut-shot draw to the nuts (need a J for Ace high straight). Before the other player acts the dealer burns and turns the river...

Great suggestions, everyone.

I have a column for mileage/gas cost, as I have ~1hr drive each way (and a "cell" for the price of gas). I wish I was closer...I usually feel obligated to play longer,...

Pre-mature e-turn-ulation...a correct ruling?

1/2NL, heads up after the flop, player 1 pushes enough to put player 2 all in (~$100 pot). Before player 2 acts, the dealer deals the turn card (a 4)...then player 2 calls. Confusion sets in. Floor...
