Re: I BLUFF YOU

Interesting spot. Obviously the board is very scarey, probably for both of you.

I think this NL Laggy dude is the wrong player to make this play against. I do think there is a decent chance that...

Re: 2/4 Foxwoods.. what to do in a rock garden?

I play in a 4/8 FullKill game some weeknights, and usually half the table is real rocky like this. Rake issues aside, I believe good aggresive play should beat the rocks for a good rate over time.

Re: Junk in BB vs EP limper

This is an interesting discussion. I would always bet this flop, but maybe I have been playing it wrong.

But here is how I have been thinking about it:

Personally, I like to bluff in these...

Re: Two stupid preflop decisions. (Boring!)

I think Hand 1 is closer to a call.

If you think sb definitely has a big pair, because some people would only raise limpers from the sb with a very narrow range, then its probably a fold.

But...

Re: screwplayed

So what do you think he has?

It seems to me that he probably has a flush draw, or 84 and now he knows he is screwed. Would he really do this with a 9? Why wouldn't he just bet it?

Whatever you...

Re: I thought this was supposed to be a good flop...

I am certainly open the the possibility that I am wrong, and this is an easy preflop raise. But I will continue to discuss anyway.

People are saying that they are good enough to not make mistakes...

Re: Do I fold too much?

Dont fold. In the last week at the 2/4 level, I've seen a flush draw, BPTK, and MPTK in these types of spots. All from people I'd describe as "loose passive fish." I think these types sometimes just...

Re: gutshot vs 3 bettor

I think hero has more than 4 outs, but you are probably correct that hero does not have 7 outs on average. Its probably between 5 and 6. Villain is very tight here. So maybe it is a turn fold. I...

Re: I thought this was supposed to be a good flop...

I don't like the preflop raise. We aren't isolating anyone and we don't have position.

My thinking is that I am a better postflop player than they are. If we keep the pot small, and get a good...

Re: gutshot vs 3 bettor

I agree that his range is very strong here and so we shouldn’t be trying to get him to fold.

So I call the flop every time. But thinking about this more, and because 6max has turned me into a...

Re: contemplating calldowns against relative unknown

Hand 1: bet the flop, hoping that button folds so you can check behind turn. Maybe you have the best hand or you hit the river.

Hand 2: call down cause it doesn't make sense that he has you beat....

Re: Running a multi-street bluff

Longtime lurker, but I think this spot is very interesting so here is my attempted analysis:

This is a very common, toughish spot in 3 or 4 handed games – so I think it’s pretty interesting and...

Re: Parlay

I probably check/call the river.

But as played, I think you should call his river raise. Giver your earlier hand together, this is not the type of player that you want to show that you can fold...

Re: Bluff gone wrong

Ive played a lot of $1/2 lately. I think you have to assume people will never fold the bb to your sb raise preflop, until you know differently.

K9o may be a raise anyway, but its the very bottom...

Re: Getting coldcalled by lp and...

I think this is a meta game issue. You sound like you know this type of guy is gonna call flop, then bet turn when you check. Then let him do it every time. Make your decision on the turn. Check even...

Re: The Flop

My first post of any kind, but I've been lurking for a while.

My thoughts on the flop:
I think we probably have the best hand now, but its got little chance for improvement and can easily get...
