Re: Taking a Shot Moving Up?

Stop looking at your stats. Play poker. Play more hands. 10k is a one day session for some people here. 28BI is a heater. 5BI is not a downswing, its normal variance.

Re: Best way to combat cbets?

Its important to know why are you calling this preflop. For no particular reason is a leak. Once you figure out "why", the rest of the hand is an autopilot.

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)

Yes, c/f the flop. If the villain is loose, he may have all sorts of rubbish there and cbet is fine. But against a tag your most likely splitting or behind.

Re: Weak leads (way too late pooh-bah?) tl;dr

Depends who raises me, one thing if its some passive fishy, another thing someone who does not know me well and I suspect raises ATC.

Re: $43 million error at Party (screenshot)

If its true, its clearly someone's [censored] on party side. If they provide you any sort of settlement, they would have to explain this later to their superiors and someone is getting in trouble....

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)

I am getting owned by NoIQ nits. They refuse to stack off preflop with anything less that AA and I spend three stacks finding this out the hard way. I should put a huge sing somewhere, saying they...

Re: Too aggressive with a set?

Any raise shuts them down. But thanks the board is dry and you can call hoping he will catch up or do something stupid on the river.

Re: Calling off half your stack with 9Ts

Agreed, I also don't think he shoves AA or KK. Your making it sounds like he's valuebetting all the time. There is 72o in his range. Question is, how much.

Calling off half your stack with 9Ts

Ok, villain is 60/10/3 over a small sample. Dumb.

Hero in SB with 9Ts.

UTG raises to 2.5, MP calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero calls, SB makes 24 more, all fold, Hero snap calls

We are...

Re: KK check-raised on an TTx flop

Two thingies.

If he can have a T, he can have a flush draw.
If he can't have a T, he can't have a flush draw.

But

He can have a T because the pot is overlimped, its cheap for him and he has...

Re: Donking the flop

No. I just think a c/r is inherently wrong unless there is something seriously wrong with the opponent.

It folds out all the worser hands he might otherwise have called several streets on.
It...
