QQ faces montone Flop with 2 overcards
Villain was 56/1/0.63 over 50 hands. Bet the flop pretty much intending to fold to a raise.
Picked up a draw on the Turn so thought I'd try again - try to get value from a single club. Again its a...

Re: Flop a set get raised a lot on Turn
Thanks for the feedback. Obviously I lost both - AA in 1 & KK in 2. I've had similar situations in the last few days where I've lost with a full house to a bigger full house twice. I'm having real...

Re: Flop a set get raised a lot on Turn
I'm having difficulties with hands like this (and it seems to be happening a lot more than it should). I think it's because of the NL attitude - we have a set, get it AI and if we lose it's a cooler....

Flop a set get raised a lot on Turn
My first post in this forum. Mainly a NL player but I've been working on my Limit game - I seem to enjoy it more.
Villain is 38/4.35/1 over 90 hands. He has generally called a PFR and then folded...

Re: NL50: QQ and K on turn, i am so weak
Bet more on the Flop - like $10. Then bet $25 on the Turn and call a push. Its more likely he calls the flop with a FH than with AK so whilst I don't like the K, it probably won't make me fold....

Re: Slowplayed KK on the river facing all-in
You are playing with less than half a stack and you get KK - you aren't folding without an A on the board. Raise PF, bet Flop, Bet Turn, bet more on River, call push.
Don't make simple situations...

Re: intersting turn spot
I wouldn't have thought that pushing the Turn was standard - looks like an easy call to me. The issue in this hand is the flop - you really need to make a decision there. Calling isn't great because...

Re: NL-25 Callinmg due to pot odds?
I would fold the Turn. As thac said, you need to calculate your pot odds based on what the villain has. On the Turn you are a long way behind his range and maybe have 5 outs to improve but its...

Re: NL50 - KK om drawheavy board
The way to extract the most is to push because he won't fold - sadly he will usually be ahead.
I too hate these spots and I often call but I think that's the wrong play. Its a raise or fold. We...

Re: Flopped set - Line Check.
Just raise the Flop again. The dude min-3 bet you - he has a hand and he's not folding. The only way he will fold is if you let him see a Turn and the Ah comes making his KK worth nothing.

Re: NL50 river bluff
His line does seem weak but I don't think I would ever bluff a 15/10/1 who has bet 3 streets. His weakness could easily be "ZOMG I have 3 Js ... please don't fold". Having said that, Qh on the River...

Re: NL50 SH - QQ PF AI
AA,KK & AK against QQ is 60/40 but to be honest I don't think we see AK here enough. AA,KK & AKs is a 73/27 favourite. I think I have to fold.

Re: 10nl Really weird flop spot
Need reads. If I think that SB &/or BB will come along then its an easy call or if I know that UTG is very laggy then its an easy call. Without those reads its a fold - UTG could easily be ahead (he...

Re: KK - donk bet in a 3way pot
Bad situation.
c/c Turn assuming that you have the pot odds to chase your Flush. Villain's call on the flop is too scary to ignore and he either had you beat then or he does now (I would say he...

Re: 25NL QQ oop
Limp/re-raise in FR will often be AA/KK. I'm seeing it more often in 6 max from idiots with any two cards but not in FR. So, call and play for set value.
Flop, it feels like you are just sending...

Re: 10NL big draw OOP.. feeling lost
Bet/call turn (fold to a push I think - check pot odds and only count FD + GSSD outs). If he raises we don't have FE and we don't have 17 outs. So call and improve on the River.

Re: NL50: AJs 3bet OOP vs very laggy player
Postflop is fine.
PF, I don't know. 3 betting with AJs in general is good but doing it out of position against someone who isn't going to fold can lead to difficulties. If you know he will usually...

Re: 10NL; call flop?
Looks like he has probably got a J. I would usually bet the Turn because sometimes he will fold, especially because of the heart, and if he doesn't I've probably got about 17 outs.
Don't mind a...

Re: 50nl : AJ TPTK
I would almost never raise AJ there unless I knew that the 2 limpers would fold a lot of the time. What would normally happen is that you inflate the pot with a decent hand and then play it oop...

Re: .02/.05 weird river check raise
Check behind on the River - what worse hand calls? If you were bluffing you need to bet more than that because any Q calls. I wouldn't bluff there though.
As played, I guess I would have to fold...

Re: NL50,6m - combo draw. Good line ?
Make it a little more PF. On the flop, raise to $22 or $25 or something, get him to fold his QQ, JJ, TT etc. Call a push - you are flipping against AA or AK and aren't in terrible shape if he has...

Re: NL50 Stack a Donk with AA
Well, I do want to play for stacks - but his, not mine. I think the bet on the turn is correct because villain will often just call down with his KQ & I'm losing value if I check behind. The problem...
