On the turn i ended up checking...i thought Nick might call me lighter than usual given the flop action and the flush draw on the board if i made a bet...i didnt think i had the fold equity required...

I was surprised no one commented on my lead of 1/2 pot on the turn looking fishy...I figured Nick and Artie knew i could do this with air, so I actually threw it out relatively quickly as i figured...

this wasnt clear in the original post...instead of saying Nick bet 37k on river i should have said he put me all in...i only had about 27k left facing the all in river bet...i just said 37k b/c it...

i dont htink i could ever find a fold here against artie...you raised preflop, bet flop, checked river...i think its pretty unlikely he is putting you on a flush, and is just as likely to do this...

1. The size of the raise often depends on the order of players that have limped already. Generally in these games if the first limper calls your raise, then its going to cause...

so i actually was not hero in the hand, just observing a friend who was hero...i agree with a lot of Cero's analysis (i usually do) except that cero doesnt adjust for the game being in NYC - i think...

obviously not easy to break down so finely, but hwat percent of the time is this a boat? a naked 8? a straight? a bluff against a relative unknown in your experience?

villian has generally played pretty solid although in the past he has had tendencies to get out of line...i start hand with about 13k and villian covers

hand is straddled to 100, one limper to me...
