Re: AP .25/.50 - turn bet less than expected, what to do?

I would raise to about $7. If he calls I would fold to a substantial bet on the river. If he checks to you on the river, I would just check behind him. Or do you think he's capable of calling your...

Re: [25nl]Big stacks vs big stack

He just said that he would call the $28 river bet. This is exactly Hero's entire stack.

Re: [25nl] tough push/fold decision

So you're not sure whether or not you would make the re-raise to $11.5, right?

Re: [25nl] tough push/fold decision

[ QUOTE ]
Against a range of QJ/66 you have 27.9% equity. To profitably push here you need 23.5% equity. Easy push.

[/ QUOTE ]

That is to decide how to act on the re-re-raise to $20, right?...

Re: [25nl] tough push/fold decision

It appears that the main question is whether it was correct to re-raise on the flop, right? And if so, what is the correct amount to re-raise to? Your opponent re-re-raised to $20 making it $8.5 to...

Re: 25NL - AKS (LC)

I just argued that we should want to keep the pot as small as possible on the river and possibly on the turn, because we are probably beat and you say that you would probably bet more, thereby...

Re: 25NL - AKS (LC)

When I read your post the first few times, I thought to myself: "What's his problem, he just got unlucky." I admit I would have played the hand just about the same way. My analysis below, however,...

Re: Spewy AK play here?

You can play like this now and then. I don't think it's a good standard play, though, especially because you don't really have a good read on your opponent.

You may consider playing like this if...

Re: 25NL - AKS (LC)

The play look s fine to me. You played the hand in a straightforward manner, which I think is good at our level. Are you having some doubts, Zyrrth? And if so: why?

Re: $24 NL....KQs OOP....line check

On the flop, I think you played the hand well. It was a good fold. You have a bettor (UTG) and a caller (UTG+1). Since, UTG appears to be solid, he is likely to have something, otherwise he wouldn't...

Re: NL25$ : is a flop fold ok here ?

What is the hand range you put your opponent on here?

On the one hand, he may have hit a set of sixes. He may have KJ and hit top two pair. These are the most likely hand combinations that beat...

Re: 25NL Just dump the overpair? On what street?

I think I would bet this hand on the turn (about $6) and then fold to a well-sized raise. If UTG+1 calls, I would probably consider block betting about $7 on the river.

I think there is not much...

Re: NL25 - Pocket tens on jack high flop

Don't you consider AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AJ to be possible holdings? If not, why not? I would probably reluctantly call the $1 bet. Some players try to bluff cheaply. If UTG subsequently bets $2 or more on...

Re: AQ flops top two, now what?

Yeah, but do you consider A9 to be a possible holding? If so, then it's still a call. Or am I missing something here?

Re: NL50: Turned bottom set, Button takes weird line . . now what?!?!

That's an interesting hand, Gobias Ind. What hands do you think that your opponent might play it this way with? Some of these hands give your opponent a straight. You're in the worst shape against...

You are absolutely correct. This makes the argument for calling even stronger.

Re: AQ flops top two, now what?

There are three ways SB can have 99, one way he can have AA and one way he can have QQ, meaning that eight possible holdings can beat you.

Your opponent can have AK eight ways, AJ eight ways, AT...

Re: NL50 - facing a preflop all-in reraiser in the big blind

This was not a tournament, but okay... a call in this spot is not warranted, even if BB would play this way with about 40-50% of the starting hands. Point taken.

I made my remark about the 40-50%...

Re: NL50 - facing a preflop all-in reraiser in the big blind

Now: what if BB would make this play with 50% of the hands? If he would, I think calling is correct, because on the average my equity on the hand would be about 49.5% which makes me call even taking...

Re: Poker Tracker Question

Are you playing limit or no-limit? I couldn't find it in the thread.

As far as I know, 1 BB/100 hands equals 2 big blinds per one hundred hands. 1 BB/100 hands is considered to be a fairly good...

Re: NL50 - facing a preflop all-in reraiser in the big blind

Sure, I get it. Calling is not the correct play.

Of course, you don't see such players at the NL50 hold'em tables of Party Poker, but let's say that, purely hypothetically, BB would make the...

NL50 - facing a preflop all-in reraiser in the big blind

Fairly tight table. Other than the below, I don't have any further reads on BB. The three hands each are one round after the other.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Hand History...
