Re: Weed Brownies on plane

Only noobs and old people eat weed brownies. It's much more potent and cost effective to just smoke some bowls in your car before you go into the airport.

Re: Brag: My dog is better than yours!

Here's Devil. He is now 14 years old. Someone just dropped him off as a puppy and we found him and adopted him.

Re: Baton Rouge report

I played 4/8 at the Belle and lost my stack, but came away pleased because the game was extremely beatable. I lost the money in about 6-8 huge pots where I took awful beats, being ahead until the...

Re: dude challenges you to a wrestling match

I would not take it. If he specifically challenges you to a wrestling match, he is a pretty good wrestler or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner (even worse for you), or both. Or maybe he just thinks...

Re: Baton Rouge report

How much would you buy in for at the 2-5 NL game? Are there sufficient-enough idiots to buy in for $200 and have a chance?

Re: Baton Rouge report

I read somewhere that the Belle has shut its room down. Guess I was wrong.

Noob question: so if it's 4/8 limit, that means the blinds are 2/4, right? I know that's how it works online but I've...

Re: UFC 67

There were some pretty good fights on this card. I'd like to thank Anderson Silva for subbing Travis Lutter, who it was pointed out to me in this thread is a world-class BJJ guy and that Silva didn't...

Post Stories of a Fight You Were In

Mine is kind of tame, but all my fights occur in the gym.

Last night I got to "fight" a member of the Israeli national Judo team, who holds a black belt, obv. You might remember him as the guy the...

Silva is a BJJ black belt under Big Nog. Lutter may have an advantage on the ground, but it's a slight one. And he didn't exactly dominate those TUF 4 guys. The only way he wins...

UFC 67

If you don't know who Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic is, you owe it to yourself to watch this fight. He's head and shoulders above anyone in the UFC, and it would be a major upset if this fight goes to...

Re: Heath Herring? UFC Fight Night

This was the first performance of his career. UFC.com is reporting he tore an MCL leading up to the fight but decided to go forth with it anyway.

On the ground, he wasn't closing half-guard when...

Re: OMFG THIS IS SICK

If you had called, the RNG would've kicked out different numbers. If you totally miss the flop, then you should've called.

Re: Is it ever realistic to put someone on quads?

FWIW, right after replying to this thread, I had pocket kings and got kings full on a board with three 4's. I figured the other guy had quads by the way he was reraising, but I paid him off anyway. I...

Re: PokerStars FPP Recommendation

I know we mean nothing to them since we don't generate $3 in rake every hand. But if they're giving our FPP's for .40 in rake, why not give out .5 FPPs for .20 or something?

Personally, if I felt...

Re: Is it ever realistic to put someone on quads?

My personal rule is that I always pay off quads. Tehre's no shame in losing to quads w/your boat or flush, but there's a lot of shame in folding the best hand because you're afraid of quads.

PokerStars FPP Recommendation

At the microlimits, we pay rake just like everybody else. My rake paid out is almost a ridiculous percentage of my winnings. Yet, to earn 1 FPP, the rake paid must be .40 or more. That means the pot...

Re: Multi-tabling, what do you look for?

When I multitable, I find that 4 for limit and 2 or 3 for NL is my max. Any more than that and I can't pay attention and take notes, which I think is integral to having success.
