Do I have to sign up with that site to be able to watch that video?

Re: Strat Question: pf raise sizing w/ premium hands in EP

Good stuff Albert. I keep re-reading PNLHV1, but still struggle to get my head round how target SPRs fit into nitty tight full ring games.

As br.bm says, I am not sure that we are trying to play...

Re: LC: How do you get VP$IP and PFR close?

[ QUOTE ]
Or just remember "if it's good enough to call it's most likely good enough to raise".

[/ QUOTE ]

This is the reason I have been posting in this thread - I don't agree.

I think it...

standard call

[/ QUOTE ]

So, given the fact that your pfr is close to your vpip, does 22-99 make up almost all of your CCs?

Let's say you have 22-88 OTB and there was an EP raise and a few cold callers.

Re: Strat Question: pf raise sizing w/ premium hands in EP

[ QUOTE ]
if you raise less in EP, you encourage action from people IP on you

[/ QUOTE ]

Would you not prefer action with premiums, even OOP - as opposed to more frequent folds?

Re: NL400 - my flop CB with KK is raised

[ QUOTE ]
Tough spot.

If you fold here, you are never going to win at NL400 though.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's what I wanted to hear. I called, got it in on the turn and was stacked.

NL400 - my flop CB with KK is raised

Every time I dip into the FT 400 game, this sort of play seems to be made much more frequently than in lower games. This Villain was unknown; other than he was 13/7/3 over 20 hands.

Is this an...

How often does this have to work to be +Ev anyway? Even if it was a break even play I owuld still want to make it because it would make me $ later.

Re: Please suggest a site for mid-stakes FRNL

[ QUOTE ]
Party has no games at around 500NL - it has 200NL, 1000NL, and 5000NL games and thats pretty much it. I used to play 200NL there, but less so now, as the games were super nitty.

Don't 3 bet his checkraise if you are going to fold to a 4-bet.

Yes, thanks guys. This is the actual history - I just wanted to see if I played it correctly.

Re: NL100 - Bottom set fold

[ QUOTE ]
No way I fold here.

Give him a range of 88, 77, 87s, 85s, 75s, and some monster draws like 65 of diamonds or A9 of diamonds.

Folding here is a mistake.

EDIT: I forgot to include...

NL100 - Bottom set fold

I can count the number of times I have folded a set on the flop on one hand. I know the flop is drawy, but I just couldn't see this guy 4betting the flop with anything other than a made hand or a...

NL100 - Medium PP vs short stack push

Shorty is an 8/8/5 reg.

Is your first instinct to call or fold here?

If you put him on 99+, AQ+ it is a break even call. Is this range sensible?

Re: (Strategy) I Need Help Here

I calculate that you would need to win ~68% of his remaining stack on average to make a call for set value alone profitable. Against a decent villain, this seems unlikely, so calling here would only...

NL200 - Common overpair vs flop raise situation

Villain is 19/9/2, calls a CB 38% & raises a CB 23% (although it's only after 280 hands)

What's your plan?

If we assume he is a decent, winning player, what range would you put him on to raise...

NL100 - Str8 draw in 3bet pot

I am new to 6max and found this hand tricky.

Button was a TAG with a high ATS%, BB was a 35/25/4+ LAG.

I know that a LAG can play a wide range this way, but they don't usually cold call a 3bet...
