my thoughts are that if we check behind turn and he bets river, we're paying off a flush anyway, so we might as well get money in now before another diamond comes and kills our...

Also I hate a turn bet as it isn't really for value or protection imho.

i think you missed a street of value. either turn or river; i prefer turn.
