Re: Rate my play

I like both.
I think you induced a bluff on hand 1 and he was folding the turn. A free card is not dangerous here. The odds of him getting a winner are long indeed, most likely he's drawing dead. ...

Re: A quick checkup.

1. Fold. I have to get some reads b/f getting involved here.

2. Call. Suited Ace-rag plays well m/w. I do not want to drive out players, and I want to keep the pot small making it easier to fold...

Re: Check-raise this river?

If you ever C/R the river his may be a really good spot. I am split almost 50-50 here but probably still leaning towards bet. If he's smart enough to know that you know he has a flush, he should...

Did I misplay every street?

Juicy 8 handed game. Pretty tight table w/several weak spots.

I am [one of] the strongest player[s] at the table and everybody knows that. Villain in VERY loose -- plays every hand if its 1 bet...

Re: How\'s my river play here?

[ QUOTE ]
Unless this guy is a maniac just call the river. You have shown aggession every chance youve had and he is still coming at you.

Re: Results and further questions

[ QUOTE ]
this isn't omaha so it's not possible for him to have a pair + straight draw on this board

[/ QUOTE ]

I realize that. It is my understanding that OP was asking a more general...

Re: 20/40 Settle a Debate

[ QUOTE ]
I vote call down as well. Your bet/call/raise line is super strong, and he still raised you.

Re: Results and further questions

There are cases, though rare at these limits, and usually not with this kind of a player, when he is semibluff-raising with a pair and straight and/or flush draw on a turn. There usually is enough...

Re: Donk of death the river?

When was that? I've seen set rivered set of Aces beaten by B'way on Friday afternoon.

Re: Donk of death the river?

I doubt QJs or KQs bets this turn having no flush draw, after being raised with 2 cold calls on the flop. I never said BB is raising, I just think he checks behind >50%.

Re: Donk of death the river?

Is he a good player? Your raise out of SB is likely 10-10+ or AQ+. You are not betting the turn w/JJ or AK (unless its specifically AsKs, and even then...). So, if he is a thinking player, he...

Re: Huge pot with heavy flop action

fold > call.

you have 5 outs for 2-pair but a few are tainted, and also a bd flush and straight (each worth 1.5 outs per ed miller). that all adds up to maybe 5-6 clean outs. and...

Re: 63o - hand vs Private Joker

[ QUOTE ]
Private Joker raises. 4 callers. I call with 63o, because stox says to call with any 2 here, and because I am drinking a corona.

Unless I am mistaken, stox recomends...

Huge pot with heavy flop action

20-40 live 10 handed. Very sweet game with several players playing close to 100% of the hands and calling the flop regardless of the number of bets with nothing. (Catching runner-runner every now...

Re: 30/60 turn spot

I like the 3 bet. It will likely get you a free showdown if you don't improve and an extra bet if you do. You have 12 outs to nuts + 6 outs to top pair which may be good and you have enough hand to...

Re: 40/80 Borgata, KK facing turn and river pressure

It does seem like a fold as he is not afraid to bet into PFR on an Ace board. (meaning he can beat a pair). But, once you called turn 3 bet, you should probably call 1 more on the river.

Re: quickie flop checkup

You don't have enough equity to draw even if threre were 2 spades on the board. And you almost never draw to a straight (especially isnside non-nut straight) when the flop is all one suit. It had...

We don't know what he did on the river and I don't think calling is bad PF, though I think he seldom has AA here.

Re: marginal call, bad call?

I assume you meant sb bets b/c you're the bb. I like a raise here if you're going to continue on. SB might have as little as a 3 and may fold that if you raise. You have at least 4 outs...
