Wow, I am so, so absurdly envious of this. And I really thought I had a good shot. Ah well, life rolls on.

Congrats to all of you guys who made it. Make the most of it, what an awesome...

Re: NL100: TAG raise from earlier position, hero is on the button

Both of these threads you have just created are way too generalized for anyone to give you a serious answer.

A reasonable response to either of these two threads would be pages and pages and...

Re: KK and terrible flop

Thought exercise for Pat, Profish and others:

Why c-bet here? What do we accomplish?

Re: tricky spot with KK

Wow, his line screams "I have a jack" soooooooooo much.

Villains LOVE the minraise with top-pair "meh" kicker soooo much, i see it from this line like every time, and they NEVER fold to a raise. ...

Re: QJs - 3 barrels OOP vs a 2p2er -- -- -- TWICE LOL!

On hand 1 I CRAI here because your line looks bluffy and villain probably will valuebet a LOT of the hands he will call with here IMO. And a CRAI here looks "weird" enough that I think you even get...

Re: 50NL: KTo River Value Bet

Don't like it.

Villain can't really call with a worse hand here - the board is heinously scary. Flush came in and a 1card straight that looks to be HUGE in his range came in.

Villains stats? ...

Re: Is this stacktown, or baluga?

Given your note and that this is a 3-bet pot it makes me definitely lean towards a shove here. Readless (or if villain is passive/nitty) and if this is not a 3-bet pot I strongly consider ditching...

Re: 100nl AA- What to do on the river?

[ QUOTE ]
Is a check here that bad? Isn't there a decent chance that villain has 44, A3, or A4? Maybe a check call would work.

No.

Re: The board gets ugly, and ugly and uglier

This board "looks" uglier than it is.

Spades came in, yeah, but theres a hell of a lot of jacks that get here too from a 34/9.

Its reaaaaly hard to give villain a hand that has a 7 in it, and...

Re: 50NL is this Baluga?

Hmm.

If we are calling this river, we might as well be open-shoving it, because his shove is NEVER a bluff here, and theres some chance we might talk villain into folding an ace, yeah?

Re: Calling Heavy action with nut flush draw! NL newbie alert

Call pf is bad against even a maniac, especially because you (self-admittedly) suck after the flop. If you are going to play this, raise it and make yourself the aggressor. Otherwise you can never...

Re: am i running bad or playing bad???

Hand 1) Close, but not that close. Played well. Fish will find ways to call with worse.

Hand 2) Perfect. No discussion.

Re: 30NL - 6max - JJ deep

Fold.

At best you are against AKh/AQh, and often you are slaughtered. I guess megalag could do this with 99/TT but thats pretty rare and the rest of his range has you in nasty shape...

Re: Running into this crap all day

I'll again state that I don't really think it matters whether you call or fold here. We don't have enough info on villain to really know whether its particularly +EV or -EV to call, and either way...
