Re: So How Are The Games At Foxwoods?, Going next week

When I'm there it's more like 98% dopes. But, watch out I heard some kid got mugged in the restroom for like 2k.

Re: Stud 8 at Foxwoods

I was there on Friday. A buddy of mine was playing in a 30/60 OE game and they also had a HORSE game of 5/10 going. Most likely you'll be able to play some stud 8, but yr choice in limits or mixed...

Re: Live 20/40 Two river check-raise attempts…

I love the river sexy on hand #2 -- seems like you will extract value a large percentage of the time with yr well disguised 2nd nut hand.

On hand #1, I am a bit skeptical; a board-pairing draw...

Re: Bonehead move on my part - was there any way out of it??

I don't know what to say other than pay attention. In the cases you are not paying attention, just ask the dealer, "How much to me," and if she says a number that matches the big blind, you know it...

Re: Live 20/40 -- AQo in small blind

Here's the flaw in my game: I have been mostly concentrating on postflop play lately; that's where the beauty and intricacy of poker lies, I thought. Still true, but I need to emphasize proper...

Re: 10/20 River Decision with Broadway

Pretty much in agreement with other posters, I'd say 3-bet and call.

His PF 3B out of the sb is AK, AA, KK, JJ enough times to warrant putting in a 3-bet on the river. Hands that are plausible...

Re: Poker Pro tables at Mohegan Sun

I heard that they will open a smaller, temporary room as early as next month which will have a few tables while the construction of the real poker room is completed.

I am exactly this person. I never look at the clock. It might take me 5 minutes to meet somebody or 3 hours if I get sidetracked by a book or something.

I'm also horrible at returning phone...

Re: Dealer shafts me, whats my play?

I just think you have to roll with the punches. I assume this hand happened recently, during all the tournament craziness. There are many new dealers and some of them are horrible.

The player...

Re: turn donk bet puzzles me,(yet I am lucid, (maybe not)) Live 20/40

First of all, thanks for all the replies.

Secondly, a few things to clear up.
1. There wasn t a flush draw on the flop and the x was low & inconsequential (no str draws)
2. I was 90% sure that a...

turn donk bet puzzles me,(yet I am lucid, (maybe not)) Live 20/40

This post may be simple, but please answer it for me since I am trying not to suck at poker. I have been catching cards lately: suited Broadway connectors, premium pairs, etc, and have been raising...

Re: TR:Tripping on shrooms+the cops.

Be careful in the future. Cops and drugs do not mix.

Also, may I recommend ingesting shrooms in the following manner:

1. Boil water.
2. Put shrooms in water.
3. Let the Psylosybin (sp?) be...

Re: 2/4 FR limit at Foxwoods

Play the 4/8. Full rake at FW is $4 per hand. At 2/4 that's 1BB/hand. People routinely buy-in for $50 at 2/4. Two of these buy-ins leave the table every hour due to rake.

I've never played...

Re: Who\'s playing Foxwoods $600 Limit LHE Tourney (right forum?)

I don't know if I can afford it.

I might play depending on how large the field is. I've never played a live tourney since I hate being locked into the game for such long periods of time & limit...

Identify the loose, passive, calling station players quickly; this will comprise the majority of yr opponents. Do not try to bluff them. Value bet them at every opportunity.

With the nuts/close...

Re: Foxwoods 10-20: Tough Turn versus a Check-Raiser -- Bet to Protect

IMO a bet on the turn is mandatory. If you get raised on the turn, then strongly consider folding. If she just calls, the river can be checked behind or bet for value, depending....
