Re: Fairly dead split queens (Stud hi)

Folding 3rd is certainly not even a question. 5th you probably could, but I dunno, a lot of people will bet here with junk and I found a quarter in my backpack the other day which would cover calls...

Re: Biggest Limit Stud Pot Win II

[ QUOTE ]
7CS High $1/$2 8PP: $94.70 = 47.35bb

Commentary:

It was nearing the end of a long session against a regular villain who was a tag. The table was five-handed at this point. It was...

Re: Split aces (blah)

I wouldnt worry about getting the draw out too much. If he has trips, you need to fill to win the hand. If you fill you will beat seat 1 anyway.

Re: Split kings line

[ QUOTE ]
The fact that he calls 6th against your board and then bets 7th makes me think you're beat. Like most of these situations, I'd probably call, but while I was calling I'd probably sigh and...

Re: Split kings line

[ QUOTE ]
Oh, well I want him off his hands and I'm betting 6th now that I'm showing a high straight which is a semi bluff that usually works here. Didn't think he would call 6th, because obviously...

Re: Split kings line

wacky boards. Do you have any reads on the player?

Try running some sims on twodimes and see where you are. I am not sure you are ahead on 6th, unless all he has is the dead spade draw with...

WP assuming you're going for the CR. He's not on a flush draw.

[/ QUOTE ]

Meh, you can go for the c/r, but I think betting out is better. you paired your door card, then caught an...

Re: River action?

I probably crying call here. He would raise with a straight or backdoor flush, but does he put you on more than aces up? I doubt it given the limp and the fact that he's a fishy. He only has to be...

Re: Low limit stud says it\'s correct to complete the bring in....

I think there was just a thread on this. The consensus was to pretty much never bring in full (in a full ring game). Ray Zee agreed and a lot of players say to NEVER bring in full. Kammen is way...

Re: Mundane Stud Hi Hand

Decent opponents will put you on Jacks-Up here. Doesn't make VB wrong, but obv its better if you think they will guess wrong. If you know that guy will crying-call you everytime with...

Re: Raise or call here? (stud)

[ QUOTE ]
This is definitely not a fold with a very live king kicker. Only reason I say it might be a call is because only 1 9 is dead. If a King and a 9 are dead it's a sure fold, but I'm pretty...

Re: Stud Question bringing in with a concealed pocket pair

The problem with doing this is that when you get raised, it will almost always be by a better hand than yours but then you feel compelled to see 5th because of the pot size and you have paid more to...

Re: Mundane Stud Hi Hand

I was slightly confused on 5th. I raised a completion on 3rd, then faced the field with a raise on 4th and everyone came along. Now the guy who checked 4th/called 2 bets cold bets out on 5th? It...

I raised 3rd trying to knock out the overcards. ...

I hope all these measures fail.

Re: Stud hi - thoughts on playing 3 2 a straight.

On third, you have a medium three-straight with four dead straight cards in sight and a two-flush with two more of your suit out. This has got to be a fold unless you're stealing (it's a...

Re: Fold split Jacks? FTOPS $535 HORSE

I like the fold. If I am reading this right, a short stack at the table is raising a bigger limping upcard with a big stack....and you have a lower pair with a dead lower kicker. If the King has...
