Re: QQ

I check-call it getting 9-1, c/f seems really weak to me, but maybe I'm a payoff artist. It also would depend how likely you think he is to bluff the river with 66. Others disagree?

Re: QQ turn decision

Fold the turn. You're almost definitely beat and have 0-1 outs, and even if not, there are tons of outs to beat you.

Re: What does the call mean?

Of course, one problem about theorizing the turn is, we haven't seen a turn yet.

Re: What does the call mean?

brick, please don't speak down to me like I'm some kid off the street.

While it's true that villain will practically always bet KT, JJ and so forth, I strongly disagree that they will be betting...

Re: 10/20 AT blind war

I feel like if you're going to call down here, you might as well c/r the turn. He can't 3bet you with anything less than A9, so then it's an easy fold for the same investment as your c/c c/c line,...

Re: I pay off river check-raises

I only want to comment on your call on the flop in hand 1. I really hate it against 2 players, because of all the isolation possibilities the middle player can throw at you on the turn. If an A or...

Re: Meta^Meta

Rating these on a scale of 1-10 purely on the total impact of doing it several times in the course of a couple hours, in a mid-high shorthanded live game:

a. Open-raising (stealing) in position...

Re: QJ sooted

I agree when you say he should fold the turn, but why should he "certainly" fold on the river after calling the turn? The 8c can't possibly change anything. I fold the turn here, but after calling,...

Re: Quick Question: 2 and 3 Chip Structures

damaniac has it mostly right. My normal game is 75/150 with that structure, and when it gets heads up I assess my options based on the opponent. Against weak players, I will raise with the top 1/3...

Re: What does the call mean?

You're not getting any great information from him calling this flop. He'll be calling with about 90% of all hands he could raise preflop with. Barring a K (you're beat), I continue to bet/fold the...

Re: dunno vs a mediocre

In my mind, the only hand that makes sense to beat you is AT. Middling aces like AT are pretty consistent with UTG limping. Also, has the game been a raisefest? He might limp with AA if he expects...
